Beach Wedding Bridesmaid Jewelry

I have had many requests for sea glass wedding jewelry in color combinations that are rare or hard to find, particularly the teal color shown above. To fill that demand I found these frosted glass beads, which have a sea glass, beachy look to them. They have been popular and have made the front page of Etsy. (That is a really big achievement for an Etsy seller like me!) Of course, this particular set was not for sale (it is a custom order) and it was only on the front page at 6:00AM. But I am still very happy to have been selected.

In response, I expanded this line of beach themed cluster necklaces to include all of the popular wedding colors. This red was the color my bridesmaids wore in Key West. At David's Bridal they call it apple red.

I love this color. It is an Emerald Green or Kelly Green. It is easy to find real sea glass in this color, but these were so pretty I had to have them. I also have a light Peridot. (Click here to view)

The bead on the left is a light blue, almost a cornflower blue.

This color (above) is another popular one, sometimes called Capri blue. It is another one of my favorites.

Black is also very popular for weddings so I made sure I have plenty of black beads.
Real black sea glass is nearly impossible to find. I have about two pieces.

This is a plum or amethyst shade. I also have a pale rose petal color.

I thought the white could be combined with a crystal for the bride who likes this style but just can't find a color that coordinates with the dresses. The crystals come in a nearly endless variety.

Sea Glass Wedding Jewelry

https://www.etsy.com/listing/97286267/wedding-jewelry-one-sea-glass-jewelry?ref=shop_home_activeI have been busy creating a lot of Bridesmaid and Bridal jewelry for destination weddings lately. It is such an honor to create something so personal and special for a bride, her family and friends! I thought I would share some of my most recent projects. The set above is a cluster style and by far the most popular! The two deeper teal were for the two Maids of Honor. The set below is similar but in aqua sea foam green

These are two different sets of lime green sea glass bracelets, each for wedding parties with 6 bridesmaids.

Below was a set made for bridesmaids in brown dresses. Brown is a popular color for summer weddings this year. I love the way they glow amber in the sun light:
The last set in cobalt blue was created for a bride who ended up going with a different design in white. I sold the earrings separately and the necklace will go into my shop:

Liebster Award for Boston Sea Glass

A wonderful thing happened to me yesterday. Sue Redekop of Find Hand nominated this blog for a Liebster Award! This is an award whose purpose is to highlight smaller blogs with 300 or less followers. Thank you so much Sue!

So here's how it works:

1. Once you have been tagged (and want to accept) create a post on your blog and add the Liebster Award Banner above.

2. Link back to the person who tagged you and say you accept.

3. Choose 3-5 of your favorite blogs, link them in your post as well and let them know that they have been chosen.

The aim is to bring unknown blogs to light (less than 50 followers is ideal, so please don't tag someone with 3000 followers!)

So thank you Sue at Fine Hand, I accept and am highly flattered!!
Here are my blog choices:

1. Glass Tracker Here is someone that I can relate to, out in the cold, digging around in the mud for sea glass and bottles and artifacts. I love the pictures on the blog, as well as their Etsy shop.

2. Coleen Sgroi of Voice of the Artist
Her blog was recommended to me by my friend Kirsten. Coleen is creative, inspiring and her posts are well thought out.

3. Ellen Wilson of Rock Island Food. Ellen is a very talented writer and chef. She blogs about food, family and life. She is also my neighbor and friend!

So those are my choices. I hope you enjoy reading these blogs!

More Wedding Jewelry for Beach Brides

Since my last post I have had a few more wedding orders, so I decided to put together a few attendant jewelry sets. I was married in Key West and I love the idea of a beach wedding! Like your bridesmaids, each necklace is one of a kind! Other quantities or color sets are available!

Sea Glass Wedding Jewelry

A few weeks ago I received an email from a bride who was looking for some sea glass jewelry to give as gifts to her bridesmaids. She was having a destination beach wedding and looking for a variety of greens and blues.

I photographed a pinwheel of sea glass pendants, similar to this, and we discussed them as though they were numbers on a clock. She picked the ones she liked and I replaced others until we had a nice selection of sea glass for the wedding. This was our second-to-last set. There is one more that was not in this photograph.
It was challenging to find 12 pieces that were reasonably similar in shape, size, color, thickness and that were smooth enough to be jewelry quality. I had to dig deep in my collection, then my mother's collection, and then my father and step mother's collection.
I wrapped them in the same gauge of wire and finished each pendant with a single Swarovski crystal. It is a little nerve wracking to create jewelry for somebody's wedding, but they were happy with the results...
I am planning to add more bridal jewelry and accessories to my Etsy shop for the spring, however custom orders are always welcome!
